Are you ready for a beautiful, relaxing 4 mile hike? This is the hike you, bring family and friends, dogs on leash are welcome! Join Joe Goralka and President Gudurn for the February 10th Hike with the President!

General info:
Apprx 4 mile easy hike / stroll along scenic Carquinez Straits - with great views of Benicia and Martinez waterfronts
an out and back hike - 2 miles in from Martinez to old Brickyard and 2 miles back out on a paved hiking / biking / running trail ... no mud even in winter
Dogs allowed on leash (must be on leash for safety as part of popular two bridge bike loop) 

Trail: George Miller Trail  (dedicated to honor retired US Congressman George Miller)

 

When: Sunday February 10, 2019 (rain or shine)
Time: Meet at 8:15 AM; headout at 8:30 am

Where: George Miller Trail trailhead - the Martinez / Eastern entrance at the dead end of Carquinez Scenic Drive park on the side of the road

Directions:
From Hwy. 4 in Martinez, exit at Alhambra Ave. and turn north into Martinez. In downtown Martinez, turn left onto Escobar Street, drive three blocks and turn right onto Talbart Street. Drive three blocks again and bear left onto Carquinez Scenic Drive 
Stay on Carquinez Scenic Drive go past Cemetery go past the Nejedly Staging Area (on the left)

go past brief narrowing of road to 1 lane .. and continue on until road dead ends.

Restrooms:

   before start .. last one is at the Nejedly Staging Area (stop on way in to meeting place)

   at turn around .. 2 miles in at the old Brickyard there is a port a potty
