Marin county ride
High Adventure Bike ride
Meet in Nicasio, Wheels roll at 9am.
Late September is the perfect time for cycling through the back country of Marin County and conquering the Marshall Wall. This ride starts in Nicasio, and heads North for a brief stop at the French Marin Cheese Factory, then along pastoral Hicks Valley Road to Marshall-Petaluma Rd. We head West and climb the Marshall Wall and are rewarded with great views of Tomales Bay, before descending into Marshall. From there the ride continues South along Hwy 1, with scenic Tomales Bay on the right. At mile 30 we arrive at Pt. Reyes Station for some good eats at one of several spots including Cowgirl Creamery, Toby’s or the Bovine Bakery (your choice).
We then return to Nicasio, riding past Nicasio Reservior.
The ride is 40 miles with 2400 ft of ascent. Here is a link to the route https://ridewithgps.com/routes/27670464
