Joshua Bamberger, MD, MPH, will speak about ways to address the homeless crisis, discussing what other cities have done and what has worked and what hasn't.  Joshua has worked for the city of San Francisco since 1991. During his time with the City, Dr. Bamberger coordinated all medical and behavioral health services at the health department’s supportive housing programs. In 2012, he was a Special Advisor to the Executive Director of the United States Interagency on Homelessness. He is an attending physician at the Downtown VA health clinic and is the Chief Medical Consultant for Mercy Housing. Dr. Bamberger is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at UCSF.
