Civic Thursday Meeting -Robert Kenney - VP of PG&E's Regulatory and External Affairs

The Rotary Club of Oakland will have a new neighbor when PG&E moves its corporate headquarters from San Francisco to 300 Lakeside Drive in our town. What is behind that move? And how will that move reflect the “new” PG&E that is emerging from bankruptcy, responding to wild-fire destruction and addressing climate change?
To address these and other questions, the Rotary Club of Oakland will be pleased to welcome Robert S. Kenney, PG&E’s Vice President of Regulatory and External Affairs.
Mr. Kenney is responsible for managing PG&E’s federal, state, and local governmental affairs, community relations, marketing and communications. He is also responsible for management of all aspects of PG&E's interactions with the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the California Energy Commission (CEC), and other state agencies.
Prior to joining PG&E, Mr. Kenney was Chairman of the Missouri Public Service Commission (PSC). Prior to that, he served as Chief of Staff to the Missouri Attorney General. He serves on the board of the Museum of the African Diaspora and the board of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, and is a member of the American Association for Blacks in Energy. He holds a B.A. from Hampton University and a J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law.
Plan to arrive at the August 19 meeting early. To accommodate his schedule, Rotary will invite Mr. Kenney to speak from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM, with the rest of the Rotary meeting to follow.
