Degree of difficulty: This will be a moderate hike, covering 3.8 miles in 2.5 hours, on the southwestern flank of Mt. Diablo. From the Macedo Ranch Staging area, we will walk to the Stage Road (constructed in 1874 to accommodate tourists from Walnut Creek); at the western boundary of the State Park, we will double back on the Little Yosemite Trail (NB: while this “Little Yosemite” has its charms, it is even less impressive that the “Little Yosemite” that we visited in Sunol Regional Park last year).
Dogs?: Sorry -- no dogs allowed on this trail.
