Service Day @ Lake Merritt Gardens - CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN | 04-16-2022

Please use the link below to register for this event.  All members attending need to complete the attached Oakland Public Works COVID-19 waver. Your completed waver may be sent to Daniel or brought with you to the event.

Please bring COVID PPE ( mask ), drinking water and work gloves.  Some wearing rain boots and work boots would help too.  The shoes related to installing irrigation:  injecting water into dry soil, then digging it up. Pipe fitting once trench is opened.  Other digging, rock hunting, and pruning.  

Priorities include the following general tasks:

• Irrigation installation:  includes some wet stuff for those who bring rain boots, digging for those who bring thick soled shoes, gluing pipe.
•  Weeding.
• Pond plant exaction.
• Pruning trees & shrubs (Those who want to prune should bring one-handed prunning shears).
• Rock retreival/stockpileing.
•  Lantern assembly (tentative)
