Easy 4.8 mile
Rotary Easy Peasy Adventure - Berkeley Marina EVENT CANCELLED
The Walk Saturday, February 27, 2021 Meeting Time: 9:00 AM
This event has been cancelled do to Covid restrictions
Berkeley Marina Loop Trail is a 4.8 mile moderately trafficked loop trail and offers scenic views and is good for all skill levels.
The trail: A flat Bay-side walk, featuring marvelous 360-degree views of the East Bay, Marin County, the Golden Gate bridge, the Bay Bridge and the Port of Oakland. While one can easily walk the trail in less than an hour, we invite Rotarians and guests to take the time to chat and to take in the views. Bring your own water, coffee and /or cocoa: we'll stop midway for snacks (provided by your intrepid leader). Porta-potties are on the trail adjacent to Spinnaker Way.
Kids and/or grandkids: an ideal way to spend time with them, whether they walk with you or bring their bicycles.
Dogs
Dogs: Welcome, in both leash- and non-leash areas of the park
Directions and Parking
Directions to "trailhead": Drive down Berkeley's University Avenue, over Highway 80; continue on University Avenue in the direction of the Berkeley Marina. At the intersection of University Avenue and Marina Blvd., veer to the right onto Marina Blvd. We will meet at the "Cesar Chavez Park" sign, located where Marina Blvd. makes a hard left onto Spinnaker Way.
Parking: Park on the street, either on Marina Blvd. (before it becomes Spinnaker Way) or on Spinnaker Way (after you have turned off of Marina Blvd.) Parking can be somewhat limited, so grab a spot when you see one.
