Thursday, July 22nd, 2021 - 12:30pm to 1:30pm

Even in the face of the Covid-19  pandemic, Oakland continues to build and to plan. A short list: the new Douglas office building on Webster Street; the high-rise residences in the "Valdez Triangle"; affordable housing at Brooklyn Basin; the redesign of the Oakland Museum of California; the renovation of the Henry J. Kaiser Center; plans for development over BART's Lake Merritt Station.  And what's being planned in West Oakland and East Oakland?    In her capacity as Director of Special Projects, Oakland Department of Economic and Workforce Development, our speaker Kelley Kahn will discuss the opportunities and challenges that such projects present to the communities of Oakland.

This meeting will be held in person with a Zoom option.  For those attending in person, proof of your COVID-19 vaccine is necessary and masks are to be worn in the California Ballroom, expect when eatinng or drinking.

Lunch will not be provided, but you may bring and enjoy your lunch prior to the meeting.
