President Ces Butner called our 5,324th “Civic Thursday” meeting in order and welcomed all of our Zoom guests.
Georgia Richardson shared thought for the day by saying, "We must get comfortable with being uncomfortable if we are really and truly serious about improving diversity, fixing inequities, promoting inclusion then we have to have those difficult conversations with all stakeholders at the table through our discomfort we get awareness and growth."
President Ces led the attendees in reciting the Rotary Club of Oakland vision statement.
Rotarian David Kirsten introduced this week's civic Thursday speaker Italina Kirknis. She is a national public speaker and social media expert, giving over 40 speeches a year all over the country.
Italina gave everyone a lesson on how to optimize their social media presence to increase brand visibility and get more customers.
