President Ces Butner called our Civic Thursday Zoom meeting to order at 12:30 p.m. noting this is the 5,333rd meeting in our 111-year-old Club and invited us to recite our vision statement.
Rotarian Zeydi Gutierrez shared the thought for the day and dedicated it to International Women's Month - March. She highlighted that this month celebrates the historical, cultural, and political achievements of women across the world. It also stands for gender inequality against women.
Rotarian Maude Pervere introduced our speaker of the day - Abby Ginzberg. Abby is an independent documentary film director, producer, and founder of Ginzberg Productions. Abby spoke about Waging Change, her inspiring film about the One Fair Wage movement, which aims at raising the federal minimum wage for tipped workers from a shocking $2.13 an hour.
